The Symbol in Buddism

Lingam (symbol of God Shiva) from Lepakshi sheltered by a naga.
Perhaps the most famous naga in the Hindu tradition is Shesha, who is most recognizable by way of his hundred heads
The Buddhist nāga generally has the form of a large cobra-like snake, usually with a single head but sometimes pictured with a multiplicity ( see more )
Nagalingam flower close-up view is shown in the second image. The Shiva Lingam shape is visible at the centre of the flower and the snake shaped . This rare flower in Buddism can be used for Shiva Pooja.
